The Gospel according to Mark - SBS Teaching March 2020

When we look at the Gospel of Mark, we encounter a Jewish People who were in expectation of a coming Messiah. They had all sots of ideas about who this Messiah would be, but he was very different from their expectations. Instead of coming as a conquering, earthly king, Mark reveals Christ as the Suffering Servant of Isaiah 52-53.

In the first part of my Teaching I talk about the Historical Background and Authorship of the Gospel of Mark.

You can view my structure breakdown here>>

As discussed in Part 2, The book of Mark is divided into 2 main parts as the Identity of Jesus is questioned, and his identity as the Christ is revealed. I cover the first half; Mark 1-8:26 in Part 3, and the second; from Mark 8:27 to the end in Part 4.
