T’was a wet week in Brissy

This week started off quite sunny and beautiful, as most days are in Brisbane. Things however started to get quite wet on Wednesday.

As some of you may have read in the news a category 3 Cyclone hit the state of Queensland approximately 12 hours north of us on Tuesday. The effects of this storm rippled down the coast throughout the week, bringing lost of rainfall and powerful winds reaching nearly 100km/h in Brisbane.

We have been very fortunate to be in such a very safe location as the quantity of rain led to flooding throughout the region leading to the evacuation of many areas within Brisbane.

I honestly find storms like this and the power they carry quite invigorating and exciting. Such amazing power.

Outside of that much of this week has been preparation for the Road trip we begin on Sunday to Byron Bay, Ballina and Rainbow Beach.

I had a great opportunity to meet up with Tim this weekend and catch up with one another. Tim and I worked together at Newport back in 2013. It was really cool to finally meet someone I know here in Australia compared to all the new people I have met in the past month.

Tis all for now. Here we go Byron Bay!
