We crossed the border early this morning into Jordan. The crossing was much easier than I was lead to believe, but once we were over the change of scenery was very evident. The change of infrastructure and quality of living was as different as black and white.
On our way to the hotel we stopped to see the ruins of church on the mountain The prophet Elijah was born on. We met up with the other half of our team that had been in Jordan for a few days already and enjoyed some time praying together and adjusting our focus for the days ahead as we were finally a full team.
Afterwards we had a humongous lunch where I ate more than I thought was physically possible. Then we had a time of reflection along the side of the river where it is said Jacob wrestled with God.
We then arrived to the hotel and began assembling bags with hygiene products, gifts and school materials to give to the refugees.
Looking forward to working with our men’s group in the morning!
