We were invited to attend a local Arab Baptist Church service this morning and as always it is a very unique and uplifting experience to be able to worship with different cultures and languages! The service was held in Arabic and we were kindly provided with tranlators. At the same time we presented them with a hand crafted banner to show our thanks and to represent the act of generations walking together.
At lunch I believe I ate Shawarma, but of course our guide mispronounced it as chihuahua the first time, so I could very well have eat dog. Hopefully not, but hey, when in Rome…
In the afternoon we visited Mount Carmel where Elijah defeated the Prophets of Baal. The landscape from above was absolutely phenomenal and we had a tremendous time praying into the work ahead of us in Jordan and declaring that all is well in the presence and sight of the lord.
