Good Ol’Goats!

It’s been a week. At limes a long one, but a good one none the less!

My team and I spent this week working on a goat farm helping Pt. Peter and his Wife Suzie. We were able to participate in many of the daily chores such as cleaning the goat pens, and we were also able to complete some extra projects for them. This included digging a trench and installing a new direct water source in the goat pen so they don’t have to carry water up there anymore, and we also prepped the land for an additional goat pen to be built soon. Goats can be very entertaining animals so I very much enjoyed my time with them this week, and the girls seemed to be in cuteness overload with all the kidds!

The special thing about this farm is that they use their goats to help local goat farmers with their flocks. Often times it is for breeding, but they also run what they call the ‘Jacob Project’ which helps those interested in goat farming start their own herd. We’ll have the privledge of helping with the Jacob Project next week when we are with Breakthrough again.

Unfortunately I’ve been a bit under the weather so I was not able to spend the whole week with the goats, but I very much enjoyed the time I did get! Such a cool project to be a part of!
