I am currently a full time missionary with an organization called Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Vancouver, Canada. In this role I have the privilege of serving in a number of my giftings as both a Biblical Studies Teacher and a Communications Director. It brings me great joy to encourage a rising generation of Christians to study their Bibles through the historical context it was written in, and apply what they learn to their lives. In this work I also have the incredible privilege of participating in local, national and international outreaches where we train, serve and evangelize, sharing the good news of Jesus!

In February 2017, I participated in YWAM’s introductory missions program called the Discipleship Training School (DTS) in Brisbane, Australia. This was an incredibly eye opening experience for me as I was introduced to the world of international missions, got to experience different churches, different cultures, and was encouraged to grow deeper in my relationship with God. During this time, I realized that even though I was a Christian and grew up around the Bible, I didn’t actually know the Bible very well. So, I felt it was important to seriously dig into this book myself. The result was that immediately after my DTS, I went to the YWAM campus in Vancouver to take their School of Biblical Studies (SBS), and eventually got my degree in Biblical Studies.

I began my time as an SBS student with some reluctance, but within two months I absolutely fell in love with the study as the Bible began to make sense to me for the first time. This culminated in an overseas missions trip to Nepal in 2018, which remains the single most transformative experience of my life. While there, we provided Bible Study training and resources which were otherwise unavailable in Nepali, to local Christians and church leaders. Seeing the hunger these people had for God’s word and hearing their testimonies, emphasized not only the transformative power of the Bible to me, but also ignited a passion in me to help make the Bible more accessible for others.

With this passion burning, I joined the YWAM Vancouver campus as a full-time missionary in 2019 to work with their School of Biblical Studies. There, I trained other missionaries to help them engage the Bible in rich and meaningful ways as they serve others. In the following years, I have continued to work with and teach in many more schools and churches around the globe, with the hope of making the Bible understandable, accessible, and ultimately that people would be transformed by its life-giving words!

7 years in, my work in missions has brought me to 8 different countries, where I’ve spoken in 25+ Schools, 17+ Churches, teaching 1,700+ people and ministering to thousands more in times of practical service. Through it all, God has been so faithful as I’ve seen him transform lives around the globe, including my own.
